UPDATE 1/15/2025 Issue has been resolved.  

Emergency maintenance was performed for campus VPN services over the weekend.  This changes the login process but also breaks access for IE staff admins remotely mapping the M drive.  Campus admins are currently working on the issue.

Starting Wednesday Nov 20th 2024 the campus will roll out Risk-Based Authentication for DUO for staff and students (faculty will not be affected).

What to Expect

Most users will not see any changes to DUO during normal activity, but some situations may trigger the additional security measures (such as travel).

Purpose:
Upgrade Davis Campus Border Firewalls to the vendor recommended firmware version. 

Impact / Affected Services:
Network traffic will be routed via alternate paths when the firmware update is performed

Clients may experience a brief period (approximately 30 - 40 seconds) of intermittent network connectivity when switching between normal and alternate paths.

It has been identified that some updates to Knowledge Base articles are not saving. This could be due to a session time-out issue, but other reports have been inconclusive. This has been reported to ServiceNow and an update will be made once the vendor has provided additional information.
